Meet “Lily & Lionel” - London designer launches ethical accessories brand -

Her range has already caught the attention of Vogue

which has described it as "some of the prettiest artisan-produced, ethically

sound designs around."

Stone's mission was to produce one-of-a-kind pieces

that were exclusive and affordable.

She comments: "Usually "bespoke" means expensive,

and "green" means unsophisticated. I wanted to create unique fashion pieces

that bucked both trends."

the bank."

Stone, 24, has travelled the globe in search of the

right materials and artisans to produce her designs. 

"The products

are exquisite pieces that exude craftsmanship, attention to detail and

beautiful fabrics," Stone says.

"Our ethical sourcing policies mean we only

deal with reputable suppliers who maintain an excellent working environment

The boutique range boasts hand-stitched silk

kaftans, cashmere scarves and even the perfect little black dress. Only 30 of

each design are made (each come with a certificate) so you can be sure that you

have a limited edition that you won't see on anyone else.

Inspiration behind the brand

Lily and Lionel were Alice's grandparents who

grew-up in London's East End. Lily worked in secret as a seamstress, spending

evenings sewing elaborate, sumptuous creations for her family, whilst Lionel

worked supplying the leading British high street retailers after World War I.
